Hi,

I am using my "old" iPad 1 in flight, I bought of course a separate device licence for this iPad
Now I'm willing to buy the new iPad 3 and would like to know if it is possible to transfer the licence from the old iPad to the new ? (like with my jeppesen product where I can activate and deactivate a device)

The older licenses were device specific. You can transfer from iPad to iPad, but not iPad to another device type.

Really? I thought the deal was that if you'd bought SkyDemon, you can run it on any platform you like...

Yep - that's correct. As long as you've paid for the Navigation upgrade, you can run it on Windows, WinCE or iPad
